SPECIAL ISSUE OF SAFETY SCIENCE

Based on the International Conference on Global Unity for Safety & Health in Construction to be held on 28-30 June 2006 in Beijing China, there shall be a Special Issue of the journal of Safety Science. The papers will be selected from the qualified full papers submitted to the conference. The scope of the special issue shall be limited to safety in construction. Professor Fang Dongping of Tsinghua University and Professor Jimmie Hinze of the University of Florida, USA shall be the guest editors for the special issue. Professor A. R. Hale of Delft University of Technology, Netherlands is the Editor of Safety Science.

Selection Criteria of Papers for the Special Issue:
The following criteria shall be adopted for selecting a paper to be included in the special issue of the journal of Safety Science:
● The paper addresses a subject that has the potential of global implementation;
● The paper presents information on a new subject, new theory and new conceptualizations;
● The paper is based on a solid research foundation; If not based on research, the paper must present information that is innovative;
● The papers must be clearly written in fluent English.

Number of Papers to be Included:
About 12 papers shall be included in the special issue of Safety Science on a peer review basis. In case there shall be great many really good papers received in the conference, a double issue will be considered. Author(s) of the qualified papers shall be requested to adjust their manuscript (up to 15 pages) to be included in the special issue of Safety Science.
